    Men's Basketball Camp Information

    University of Portland Men's Basketball will host an exciting summer of camp programs for players of all ages this summer. Come learn from the Pilot staff, meet current and former players and experience the excitement of Portland Pilots basketball in the Chiles Center arena.     GENERAL 2008 CAMP INFORMATION
    - Portland Head Coach Eric Reveno and Pilot Assistant Coaches Joel Sobotka, Eric Jackson and Michael Wolf are the camp directors
    - All camps are assisted with top high school and college coaches
    - A certified athletic trainer is on-site for all camps
    - The Chiles Center features three full-size, air conditioned courts

    Team Camps: June 20-22, 2008
    - Play against the top high school programs from across the region
    - Five game minimum guarantee
    - Lectures, drills and demonstrations from the Pilot Coach Staff
    - Overnight and commuter team options
    - Varsity and JV brackets
    - Play indoors on the Chiles Center arena floor


    Pilot Post-Perimeter Camp: June 13-15, 2008 Grades 9+
    - Intense instruction in an overnight camp setting (live like a Pilot)
    - Learn the Pilots' proven skill development program
    - Elite college prospects division within each camp
    - Position camps run simultaneously to allow for isolated position work and combined live play


    Advanced Skills Camps: June 16-18 & June 24-26, 2008 Grades 6+
    Focus on essential drills and professional instruction in the following:
    - Ballhandling skills
    - Offensive dribble moves
    - Moving without the ball
    - Reading screens & scoring
    - Setting up your defender
    - Understanding game situations
    - Shooting: form, technique & footwork
    - Simulated games test skills in "live" situations

    Pilot Day Camps: June 23-27 & July 28-Aug. 1, 2008 Grades 3-8
    - Skill development stations
    - Individual skills contests
    - Competitive 5-on-5 games
    - Lectures and demonstrations from Pilot coaches and players
    - Every camper receives: Portland Pilots Nike T-shirt, take-home drill book

    Soccer Camp Information

    2008 Summer Day Camps - 10am until 2:30pm daily
    Camp 1:    June 23-27, Ages 7-13
    Camp 2:    July 7-11, Ages 7-13
    Camp 3:    July 14-18, Ages 7-13
    Camp 4:    July 28-Aug. 1, Ages 13-18 (High School)
    *All day camps are coed and cost $185

    2008 Live-In Camps
    Camp A:    Boy's High School Elite Camp, June 29-July 2
    • Cost: $480
    • Check-in: Sunday, June 29 at 12pm
    • Check-out: Wednesday, July 2 at 12pm

    Camp B:    Girl's High School Elite Camp, July 20-23
    • Cost: $480
    • Check-in: Sunday, July 20 at 12pm
    • Check-out: Wednesday, July 23 at 12pm

    *The High School Elite Camps also have a non-overnight option, which run on the same dates as above, cost $395 and include lunch and dinner... Hours are Sunday 12pm-9pm, Monday/Tuesday 9am-9pm and Wednesday 9am-12pm... A room will be provided for commuters to rest between sessions.

    Women's Basketball Camp Information

    2008 TEAM CAMP, June 27-29
    Come together as a team this summer with the Pilots! Varsity and JV divisions offer two levels of play for teams.
    Cost: $350 per team (add $110 per player for overnight option)
    Grades: 9-12

    2008 ELITE CAMP, June 27-July 1
    Elite Camp runs during and after Team Camp. Elite teams will play games against High School teams in a tournament format.
    Cost: $100 per person - commuter/$200 per person - overnight

    Individual Camp is designed to focus on fundamental skills such as shooting, ball-handling, passing, 1-on-1 moves, rebounding, and defense.

    Basic Skills Camp #1
    June 24-27, 2008 • Entering Grades 7th-9th • 8:30 AM - Noon • $150

    Basic Skills Camp #2
    June 24-27, 2008 • Entering Grades 2nd-6th • 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM • $150

    All the fundamentals are covered at the Basic Skills Camps with a primary emphasis on hitting and throwing. Both the physical and mental sides of the game are an active part of the teaching format. These camps have long been the backbone of the Pilot Baseball School. We feel that previous campers have been given the opportunity to develop the tools necessary to maximize their baseball experience.

    Camps/Lessons Overview: Camp Director and assistant baseball coach Matt Hollod runs both of these seven-week programs, which allow ballplayers the opportunity to learn and further develop in all facets of their hitting game. Each week, campers will attend an hour-long session on Sunday or Tuesday evening. These weekly sessions, held inside the newly constructed batting cages at University of Portland, will center on proper mechanical techniques to become a complete hitter.

    Recreational Services Camp Information

    Pilot Kids Recreation Day Camp, June 23-26, 2008
    The program provides a safe and supportive environment in which your child will work with university students and graduates playing recreational games and sports, creating arts and crafts projects, swimming, and much more.
