PORTLAND, Ore. --- The University of Portland and Comcast SportsNet Northwest have reached an agreement to televise the Pilots NCAA first round women’s soccer match against the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks on Friday at 8 p.m. The match can be seen live in the Portland-metro market on Comcast channel 37 and throughout the state of Washington on Comcast channel 179. Check northwest.comcastsportsnet.com for listings in your area.
This is the second Portland women’s soccer match this season on the station, following a September 30 match against the UCLA Bruins. Last season, CSN NW aired three of Portland’s four playoff matches.
Bob Akamian and Jimmy Clarke will provide the commentary on Friday.
Portland was granted a No. 2 seed in the tournament and opening round hosting opportunity for the first time in the last four years. The winner of the UP-NAU match will move on to play either Texas or Washington State at the Clive Charles Soccer Complex on Sunday at 1 p.m.
In addition to television, the match will also have a free audio stream available at portlandpilots.com and live stats through ncaasports.com.
