• Helped lead team to NAIA post-season tournaments and Portland’s first appearance in the NCAA tournament in 1959
• Helped lead the baseball team to the NCAA tournament in 1957 and 1958
                - hit a home run against USC in the 1958 NCAA district playoffs
• Pilots basketball team MVP in 1957 and was team’s leading scorer that year at 13.9 points per game
• Catholic Digest Basketball All-America in 1957
• Signed with New York Yankees in 1959
• Six career triples, which is tied for 10th all-time in program history, and 35 stolen bases, which rank ninth all-time
