PILOTS ADD SIX TO WOMENS SOCCER PROGRAM
PORTLAND, Ore. -- University of Portland director of soccer, Clive Charles, announced the addition of six players to the 2000 Pilot womens soccer roster.
The list of newcomers is topped by Finnish national Laura Kalmari, and Parade magazine all-American Imani Dorsey. Other signees include Jennifer Bosa, Darci Carruthers, Lauren Mussallem, and Cristin Shea.
Laura Kalmari is a marquee recruit for us, and really solidifies our midfield, noted Charles of Kalmari. Imani Dorsey has really burst onto the national scene of late, and were thrilled to add her to our lineup.
The new recruit list addresses each position for the Pilots, as Bosa and Kalmari are midfielders, Mussallem is a forward, Dorsey is a defender, and Carruthers and Shea are goalies.
It was important for us to fill out our roster with this recruiting class, and augment our current roster, noted Charles. The team we put out on the field to start the 2000 season will be solid from top to bottom.
