Corvallis, OR -- The University of Portland women's volleyball team suffered another setback to Oregon State, losing in straight sets, 16-30, 15-30, and 25-30 Tuesday night at Gill Coliseum. The Pilots fell to 2-5 on the year while the Beavers improved to 6-2.
The Pilots were led once again by senior outside hitter Bridget DeChant, who came up with nine kills and a .227 hitting percentage. Senior Bridget Beschen had 12 digs to go along with seven kills in the match.
Senior outside hitter Joscelyn Hannaford paced the Beavers with 16 kills in 26 attempts for a .577 hitting percentage. Sophomore setter Laura Collins had 43 assists for OSU.
Portland will have a week off before it visits Portland State next Tuesday.
