The University of Portland women’s volleyball team was swept last weekend at the Idaho State tournament, losing every match 3-0, the final defeat coming against Cal State Northridge Saturday evening 28-30, 21-30 and 21-30.

The Pilots had a negative hitting percentage as a team in the final two games against the Matadors.

Senior outside hitter Bridget DeChant had the best performance among the Pilots, coming up with 10 kills on a .208 hitting percentage. Sophomore setter Sara Engstrom had 10 digs for Portland.

This weekend the Pilots will travel to Lawrence, Kans., to take part in the Kansas Hampton Inn Invitational.
