#4 Pilots beat Saint Mary's 1-0

Lindsey Huie's second-half goal Sunday lifted Portland to a 1-0 win at Saint Mary's.

The Pilots, playing without Christine Sinclair (Canadian national team duty), improved to 14-3-1 overall, 4-1-0 in WCC games.

Neither team was able to put the ball in the net as the score remained 0-0 at halftime. The Pilots outshot the Gaels 6-0 in the first half.

At the 62:43 minute mark, Portland ended the scoreless tie when Lindsey Huie connected on a shot to the upper right corner on a double-assist from Emily Patterson and Kristen Rogers.

SMC goalkeeper Ruth Montgomery finished with 10 saves, while the Pilot’s Lauren Arase recorded one save. The Gaels were outshot in today’s contest 14-2.
