Sarah Walter tied for fifth overall, leading Portland to a 10th-place finish at the Bay Area Classic in Vallejo, Calif.

The Pilots turned in successive rounds of 319, finishing only six strokes out of the top seven.

California shot 582 to win the tournament by 16 strokes, as the Bears claimed the top four individual spots.

Walter shot 73-75-148, finishing one shot out of second, and seven strokes off the winner's 141.

Also for Portland, Megan Radonich tied for 38th (159), Marissa Crnkovich tied for 60th (164), Lisa Schwinden tied for 68th (167), and Megan Ward was 84th (189).
