Erin Misaki and Christine Sinclair scored for Portland as the Pilots earned their first win of the season, a 2-0 decision over #14 Clemson at the Notre Dame Classic.
The Pilots led 1-0 at halftime on Misaki's goal, then took a 2-0 lead with less than 10 minutes to play on a Sinclair header.
Portland (1-2-0), outshot Clemson 20-5.
Emily Patterson dribbled to the top of the box, and played a ball to the right side, leading Misaki. Misaki's short chip beat the Clemson keeper at 25:59 for the 1-0 lead.
The Pilots outshot the Lady Tigers 11-1 in the first half, had one shot hit the post, and three shots blocked.
Portland extended its lead to 2-0 at 82:44 when Sinclair headed in Jessica Heller cross, Sinclair's first goal of the season.
Sophomore keeper Cristin Shea made two saves for her first shutout of the season.
