Box Score The University of Portland men’s tennis team opened the 2004 spring schedule with a 7-0 sweep of WCC rival Gonzaga in straight sets at the Louisiana-Pacific Tennis Center on Fri., Jan. 23.
“It was nice to get a win under our belt today,” said Head Coach Aaron Gross. “It is always nice to beat a conference opponent. We definitely have some areas to work on, especially in our doubles, but we seemed to pull it together in our singles match ups pretty nicely and rolled with the win.”
The UP men face UC Davis on Sun., Jan. 25 at the Louisiana-Pacific Tennis Center for an 11:00 a.m. start.
