The University of Portland men’s tennis team announced that Tim Chang of Glencoe High School has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Pilots next fall. Chang finished the 2003 season ranked No. 9 in the Pacific Northwest. He is the second highest ranked senior in Oregon for this year’s graduating class.
“We are very excited to have Tim Chang join our program,” said Head Coach Aaron Gross. “He is very athletic. He is very hungry to get better and he is a very good student.
“I have followed Tim’s career for years,” continued Gross. “We know exactly what we are getting with Tim. He does not have as much experience as some of the guys from around the country coming out this year, because he has never had the opportunity to play national tournaments. However, I think his potential is unlimited.”
