The University of Portland men’s tennis team (10-1, 3-0 WCC) continued its winning ways with a 7-0 blanking of both Linfield College and Whitman College on Sunday afternoon at the Louisiana-Pacific Tennis Center. The loss dropped Linfield’s season record to 4-8, while Whitman fell to 3-5 on the year.
In the first match, four Pilot players recorded straight-set victories, while all six games vs. Whitman ended in consecutive-set wins for Portland.
The Pilots will be in action next at Boise State from March 17-20 in Boise, Idaho. Portland will face Yale on March 17 at 2:00 p.m., Boise State on March 18 at 1:00 p.m. and UNLV on March 20 at 10:00 a.m.
