SEATTLE, Wash. --- The women’s track team was in action the University of Washington Indoor Invitational. In a star-studded event that included gold medal winners and NCAA champions, three Pilots made waves of their own, entering UP’s all-time indoor record books with their performances.

Freshman Cori Moore didn’t waste any time making her mark on the Pilot indoor annals, running the 800 meters in 2:13.78, good for third in school history.
Junior Allison Ritchie (pictured) also put on an impressive performance, running the 5000 meters in 17:53.25, putting her third on the all-time indoor list. Sophomore Janel Sislow also ran in the 5000, finishing with a time of 18:16.06, just one second behind her own personal indoor record she set in 2006.
Sophomore Sifrash Ademe ran the fourth-fastest indoor 3000 meters in school history, clocking in at 9:54.91. Ademe becomes only the fifth Pilot to run the distance in less than 10 minutes.
The team also had three distance medley teams competing, with the ‘A’ team finishing in 12:19.18, the ‘B’ team at 12:35.54 and the ‘C’ team at 13:21.74
Next up for the Pilots is the Chiles Center Indoor, which will take place at home on Friday, Feb. 2.
