The University of Portland men’s basketball game at Saint Mary’s College on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. is in the process of being finalized to be broadcast in the Portland-metro market on PDX49 (KPDX-TV), the University announced on Sunday. Portland is coming off of a 73-69 West Coast Conference opening victory over the Pepperdine Waves on Saturday, a game also televised on PDX49.
The latest broadcast addition gives Portland six WCC games which are currently scheduled to be televised, with potentially more to come later in the conference season.
The Pilots are also slated to host the 2007 WCC Basketball Championships on March 1-5 at the Chiles Center. At least four WCC Tournament games are scheduled to be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks.
Portland next hosts Loyola Marymount University on Monday, Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. That game will be nationally televised on ESPNU.
