Sophomore Dana Morgan leads the Pilots to an 18th place finish in the White Race

 

TERRA HAUTE, Ind. --- Sophomore Dana Morgan posted a personal-best time of 20:27 and finished eighth individually at the Pre-Nationals White Race run at the 6K LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course on Saturday. The Pilots placed 18th among the 35 teams that competed in the White Race, 11 of which entered the meet nationally ranked.

 

Princeton won the White Race with a team score of 149. Portland’s team score totaled 457.

 

Senior Bobeya Krishnek (98th) and junior Amie Dahnke (99th) both finished with a time of 21:45 to place among the top 100 out of the 235 total runners.

 

In addition to the seven runners in the White Race, the Pilots had five runners compete in the 6K Women’s Open Race. Complete Portland results are listed below, while complete meet results are posted above.

 

The Pilots will next compete at the Beaver Classic in Corvallis, Ore. on Oct. 20, before preparing for the West Coast Conference Championship meet in Belmont, Calif. on Oct. 27.
