EUGENE, Ore. --- The Pilots men’s track competed in its first outdoor meet of the season, running at the Oregon Preview hosted by the University of Oregon.

Seven Pilots raced in the 1500 meters, with senior Chuck McKenzie (pictured) pacing the team with a sixth place finish and a time of 3:50.11. Matt Sheeks clocked in at 3:54.19, good for 11th place, and Justin Houck also finished under four minutes with a time of 3:55.89. Brendan Robinson (4:04.31), Jeff Gill (4:05.06), Derek Mandell (4:08.94) and Nick Bellisario (4:11.02) also ran for the Pilots.

In the 3000 meters, Steven Ault led six Pilot racers with a 14th place finish and a time of 8:45.30. Freshman Lars Wyatt was next, clocking in at 8:58.33. Derrick Simmons (9:02.09), Johnson Lee (9:07.79), JT Lehman (9:13.11) and Corey Hansen (9:16.14) also competed for the Pilots.

High jumper Danny Cosgrove finished ninth in the event, clearing 1.92 meters (6 feet, 3.5 inches).

Next up on the Pilot track schedule is the Stanford Invitational on March 30-31.
