EUGENE, Ore. --- The Pilot women’s track team had a big weekend at the Oregon Invitational, highlighted by sophomore Amie Dahnke’s (pictured) performance in the 5000 meter run. With her time of 16:51.55, Dahnke qualified for the NCAA regionals in the event and moved into sixth place on UP’s all-time list.
Other top performances included freshman Dana Morgan’s 4:30.24 in the 1500 meters (placing her sixth all-time) and sophomore Allison Ritchie’s 36:10.86 in the 10,000 meters (placing her eighth all-time).

Other Pilot performances in distance events included sophomore Adrienne Nova’s impressive debut in the 5000 meters with a time of 17:31, senior Kristen Rohde’s 17:24.64 in the 5000, freshman Kendel Nelson’s 38:41.69 in the 10,000 meters, and freshman Natalie Hemphill’s time of 11:04.06 in the 3000 meter steeplechase.
In the sprints, freshman Tiffany Spaulding clocked in at 13.18 in the 100 meter dash and sophomore Krista Roumeliotis ran a 1:01.69 in the 400 meter dash.
Next up on the Pilot schedule is the Cardinal Invitational this weekend in Palo Alto, Calif.
