• Portland participates in a pair of events on Saturday, competing in the UW Final Qualifier (Indoor) and Linfield Icebreaker (Outdoor).
• The Linfield Icebreaker is the first outdoor meet of the season for the Pilots and takes place at the Linfield College track facility, which cirlces the football field and was completed in 2004.
• The UW Final Qualifier is the Pilots last stop before next weekend’s NCAA Indoor Championships.
• Last time out, nine Pilots raced their way to spots in the UP record books at the Husky Classic.
• Jarred Basset ran a 8:05.36 for the second fastest 3000m indoor time in school history, while the women’s side saw four athletes post new top ten times in the 5000m run, led by Merel Van Steenbergen’s 17:04.87 (fourth best).
