PORTLAND, Ore--- Last summer, Danny Martinez placed 9
th for the Junior Team USA at the World Mountain Running Championships in Krynica Zdroj, Poland. The Senior National Team must have been watching. Martinez has been selected to represent Team USA again, this time for the Senior side at the 2014 NACAC (North America, Central America, and Caribbean Athletic Associations) Mountain Running Championships in Ajijic, Mexico.
"Jumping in one year from the Junior National Team to the Senior National Team is honestly quite amazing," said head men's distance coach Rob Conner. "Danny has worked hard over the past year and has improved a lot. I know his parents and family are just as excited as he is about this opportunity."
