Women's SchedulePORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots men's and women's track & field teams have announced their schedule for the 2016 indoor and outdoor season. The Pilots will look to build off of their success last season after four runners competed at the National Championship. Senior Woody Kincaid will be the sole returner from that group as he looks to improve on his 5
th place finish in the 5,000 meter.
The Northwest is going to be the place to be for a lot of runners this spring. The USA Track & Field Indoor Championships will be held in Portland on March 11-12 and Eugene, Ore. will host the NCAA National Championships on June 8-11 and the USA Olympic Trials on July 1-10.
Portland will open up the indoor season at the Jackson's Open on Dec. 12 before taking a break through the holiday season. Once January hits, the Pilots will be in full swing taking a couple trips up to Seattle, Wash. before returning home to host the Portland Indoor Invitational on Feb. 4. On Feb. 26-27 Portland will be back in the Emerald City for the MPSF Championships.
The outdoor season will begin on March 5 with the Willamette Open in Salem, Ore. From then on, the Pilots will be at a plethora of meets throughout the West Coast including the Stanford Invite on April 1-2 and the Payton Jordan on May 1. This year's NCAA West Regional will be in Lawrence, Kans. on May 26-28 as Pilots will look to book their tickets to Nationals.
