Hoosier Open Recap/ResultsNEW ORLEANS, La. --- Woody Kincaid was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Male Division I Athlete of the Week after winning the 5,000 meter at the Hoosier Open last weekend.
Kincaid's time of 13:44.54 is currently the top time in the nation in the 5,000 meter. This was the redshirt senior's first indoor collegiate race and although there are a couple months left in the indoor season, his time is looking promising for a qualification spot at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championship in March.
The Littleton, Colo. native placed 5
th in the 5,000 meter at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championship last year and was a member of the 2014 Portland cross country team that finished at 3
rd in the nation.
