SALEM, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots Track & Field team opened up the 2015 outdoor season at the Willamette Opener on Saturday. Korey Thieleke continued to improve in the 400m as he registered a time of 47.81 and finished in first place by over two seconds.

Pilots showed well in the longer distances also as Marty Ramos captured a personal record of 1:57.86 and Gavin Flynn crossed the line in 1:56.17 in the 800m. In the 1500m, Woody Kincaid placed first with a time of 3:51.90 and a flurry of Pilots all finished the race in just over four minutes. On the women's side, Hannah Souders won the 200m with a time of 25.73.

Portland will continue the outdoor season in two weeks when they compete at the Saints Open in Gresham, Ore.
