Schedule/ResultsPORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland Pilots women's track & field freshman Christina Francisco has been selected to represent Guam at the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Track & Field Championships. Francisco will be competing in the 400m sprint.
"Christina has been working really hard and this is a great bonus for her to run in the World Championships," said women's track & field head coach Ian Solof. "She has a great attitude and has been a wonderful addition to our team. It's exciting that everything has lined up for her to get this opportunity."
The World Championships will take place at the Moda Center in Portland, Ore. March 17-20. Francisco's race will be on Friday, March 18 at 12:25 p.m.
"We are really excited for Christina," said sprint coach Chad Colwell. "This is an amazing opportunity for her to compete and represent Guam at the World Championships. She gets to represent University of Portland and Guam lining up against some of the best 400m sprinters in the world."
