BOISE, Idaho – Four Portland men's tennis players concluded play Sunday at the Dar Walters Fall Classic hosted by Boise State at the Appleton Tennis Center. Freshman Tom Hann advanded to the Round of 16 in the singles draw and finished 3-1 in singles play at the event.

Hann defeated Paul Domanski of Abilene Christian in three sets, and then knocked of Portland State's Tommy Edwards in straight sets. He dropped a three-setter to eventual semifinalist and No. 5 seed Ruadhan O'Sullivan of Gonzaga, before defeating Idaho's Lucas Coutinho to close the tournament.

Fellow freshman Drew Davison won his first singles match against Adam Hornby of Idaho State in straight sets and then was knocked out of the main draw by No. 13 seed Yannick Schmidl of Montana in three sets. Davison then split a pair of consolation matches, beating Gonzaga's Simon Homedes and falling to Boise State's Stefan Lalovic, both in straight sets.

Senior Jamie Fisher won his first singles match and sophomore Andrew Newell dropped his lone singles contest.

Next up for Portland will be the ITA Northwest Regionals on Oct. 19-23 at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center on the University of the Pacific campus.
