Meet Information
Â
PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots men's and women's track and field teams will compete in their last regular season competition of the year, the Portland Twilight, at George Fox University and Lewis and Clark College in Griswold Stadium this Friday and Saturday.
Â
"It looks like a great opportunity," said men's head coach Rob Conner. "Our team is really excited, rested and ready to roll. We are expecting season's best marks across the board. Our mission is to get a few other athletes into regionals. Trent Mazelli needs to run about one second faster in the 1500 and we have Nick Hauger, Gabriel Haughey and Tristan Peloquin looking for regional times in the 10,000."
Â
The meet will feature full teams for both the Portland men and women, and several Pilots will race to record final regional qualifying times. The Twilight will also include many other top runners as well as nine Rio Olympians.
Â
"This has become one of the top meets in the northwest in just a few short years," said women's head coach Ian Solof. "This will be the season-ending competition for most of our athletes, but our top runners are looking for one last quality meet before the NCAA First Round. It will be great competition, with fast, rabbited races."Â
Â
FloTrack will provide archived footage of the Portland Twilight and live results can be found
