SEATTLE, Wash. --- Portland's Benji Michel, Caua Soares, Francesco Tiozzo and Jake Arteaga each found the back of the net as the Pilots overcame a three-goal, first-half deficit to earn a 4-4 draw with the Seattle U Redhawks in an exhibition men's soccer match played on Saturday night at Championship Field.

After the Pilots conceded those three first-half goals, Michel pulled one back in the 51st minute. Soares claimed the assist by playing a through ball to Michel, who beat the keeper to make it a 3-1 game. Moments later it was Soares who collected a goal when he converted from the penalty spot to pull the Pilots within a goal of their hosts.
Â
A Seattle U goal then pushed their lead to 4-2, but Tiozzo had the answer when he finished to make it a 4-3 game. Arteaga then completed the comeback barely a minute later with the equalizer, which came on a free kick from distance.
Â
The Pilots next return home for their 2018 season opener against the Sacramento State Hornets on Friday at Merlo Field. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m., and the match will be followed by the Portland women's team, who will face San Jose State.

The double header is part of UP's new student orientation weekend, and it will feature the always popular Bite on The Bluff in the Chiles Center Plaza
