SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- Portland senior goalkeeper Kienan Weekes is the West Coast Conference Player of the Week after the Pilots remained unbeaten, and shutout the No. 9 Washington Huskies on Friday night at Merlo Field. It's the first conference honor for Weekes, who did land on the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week earlier this season.

Weekes was stellar in goal on Friday night as the No. 20 Pilots shutouts the No. 9 Washington Huskies 1-0 in front of 3,151 fans at Merlo Field, in a battle of ranked teams. Weekes repeatedly came through with clutch saves to preserve the clean sheet, his second this year. He finished the night with a career-best six saves. On Sunday, Weekes, who couldn't do much on the two American goals as they were both well-struck and perfectly placed, collected one stop as the Pilots remained unbeaten with a 2-2 draw with the Eagles.

At 5-0-2 the Pilots are off to their best start to a season since 1989.
