PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland sophomore Haylee Andrews and freshman Alex Fowler both scored 14 points and all 12 available players scored for the Pilots as they cruised to a 92-30 exhibition win over the Lewis & Clark Pioneers on Saturday at the Chiles Center. Junior Jayce Gorzeman added 11 points off the bench.

The game was the first for Portland's first-year head coach Michael Meek, who took the helm of the program after a successful nine-year run at George Fox.

Against the Pioneers, the Pilots shot a blistering 71.4 percent from the floor, and they jumped out to an early 20-2 lead and never looked back. Andrews had a team-high seven assists as Portland finished with 29 as a team on 40 field goals. The Pilots also needed to make just three three-pointers because 68 points came in the paint.

Portland recorded 43 points off the bench, and they forced 34 turnovers, which led to 44 points.

Andrews, who earned WCC All-Freshman honors last season, was seven of 10 from the floor. Fowler was an efficient 6-for-9, and Kate Andersen (8 points), Liana Kaitu'u (8 points), and Lauren Walker (8 points) just missed matching the pair in double digits.

Freshman Keeley Frawley was the team's top rebounder with six boards off the bench, and Andersen swiped seven steals.

Hannah Martin was the top scorer for Lewis & Clark, finishing with nine points. The Pilots held the Pioneers to just 21.3 percent shooting.

Portland led 31-6 after the first quarter, 58-11 at the half, and 77-18 going to the final frame.

Next week the Pilots open the regular season when they travel to Logan, Utah, for a non-conference game against the Utah State Aggies on Thursday. Tip-off is scheduled for 10 a.m. (Pacific).
