SEATTLE, Wash. --- The Portland Pilots men's and women's track and field teams concluded the final day of the MPSF Championships on Saturday afternoon. Seniors Taryn Rawlings and Becca Howard, along with Aoibhe Richardson highlighted the day, making their mark in the UP Indoor records in their respective events. Both teams as a whole, produced strong performances on the day as well, with the majority posting new personal bests.

Rawlings placed third overall in the women's mile to record a new personal record of 4:36.00, besting her previous school record time. Juniors Maddy Lyons, Natalie Smith, and freshman Ellie Erikson also recorded new PRs with times of 4:56.12, 4:57.22, and 5:06.79. In the women's 800m, Lyons (2:17.35), Smith (2:17.81), and Emily Bechen (2:19.29) posted new PBs as well.

Though senior LaRocco almost matched her school record in the 3000m crossing the finish line in 9:12.19 for an overall 10
th place finish, the rest of the pack was able to better their previous best times in the event. Richardson (9:21.97) finished 16
th overall to move up to third all-time in the UP records, followed by Howard who placed 23
rd for a 9
th all-time finish. Seniors Courtney Cox (9:50.12), Dylan Hite (10:10.70), and Sophia Noto (9:55.90), along with sophomore Stella Gillman (9:50.98), and freshmen Grace Perkins (10:06.83) and Sofia Castiglioni (10:13.57) all recorded personal bests in the events. In the women's 400m race, Freshman Tara Fruiten also ran a solid race to cross the finish line in 1:01.87 for a new personal record.

On the men's side, sophomore Evert Silva (8:06.20) and senior Caleb Webb (8:08.76) produced the best finishes in the fastest heat in the 3000m posting a 10
th and 11
th place finish, respectively. The majority of the rest of the Pilots in the field also recorded new personal records, including Michael Teran-Solono (8:11.80), Justin Hazell (8:11.80), Cole Shugart (8:28.79), Peter Allegre (8:29.48), Matt Schumann (8:31.28), Thomas Salas (8:38.10), Henry Hayes (8:39.69), and Devin Wulff (8:52.00).

The Pilots will next look to start the outdoor track and field season at the Linfield Icebreaker and Willamette Open on March 1 and 2.
