SEATTLE, Wash.--- The Portland Pilot's men's and women's track teams concluded Day 1 action in Seattle on Friday, resulting in personal records from Sofia Castiglioni, Chris Anderson and Cole Shugart.

In the first event of the day, Castiglioni set a personal record of 17:32.66 in the 5000 Meter Run. "Sofia did a nice job and ran a really smart race" said head coach Ian Solof. "That was a 10-second PR for her and I think she will be under 17 minutes by the end of the outdoor season."

On the men's side, both Anderson and Shugart recorded personal records in the 5000 Meter run. Anderson finished sixth with a time of 14:37:19, while Shugart placed 11th with 14:48:11. The Men's Distance Medley, made up of Aiden Fitzgerald, Parker Wilkerson, Konnor Hathaway and Henry Chapman recorded a time of 10:08:89, good for seventh in the event. Â
The team's return to action tomorrow, the first event on Saturday being the women's mile at 10:20am, featuring Ellie Erikson and Jasmine Fehr.
