PORTLAND, Ore. --- After Portland's road sweep of the WCC's two LA schools, junior guard Haylee Andrews was named the University Credit Union West Coast Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday morning. Andrews averaged 22.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists as the Pilots defeated Pepperdine and LMU.

She also shot .485 from the field and made 2.0 steals per game. On Monday at Pepperdine, Andrews connected on eight shots and made the game-clinching steal and lay-up with 30 seconds remaining to seal a 74-64 win. Wednesday at LMU, Andrews again scored 22 points, this time hitting eight of 15 (.533) from the field to help Portland complete the sweep with a 58-53 victory. She collected nine rebounds against the Waves and eight more vs. the Lions, and she only committed four turnovers overall during the week.

Andrews leads the conference in assists with a 5.0 per game mark, and she becomes the second Pilot to be named the league player of the week this season, joining Alex Fowler.

Portland is 2-0 in the WCC for the first time since the 1996-97 season.
