THIS WEEKEND: ERIK ANDERSON MEMORIAL ICEBREAKER
• The Pilots men's and women's track and field teams open the outdoor season at the Erik Anderson Memorial Icebreaker in McMinnville, hosted by the Linfield Wildcats.
• Live results and live video will be available for both days of the meet at portlandpilots.com.

LAST OUTDOOR SEASON
• Cathal Doyle claimed 11th-place overall in the 1500m semifinal races at the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, setting a new Portland all-time record of 3:39.21 in the event.
• A combined10 Pilots qualified for the 2021 NCAA West Preliminary Meet, with Laura Pellicoro and Veerle Bakker both returning for Portland women in 2022, as well as Doyle, Jacob Klemz, and Riley Osen for the Portland men.
• Men's veteran Caleb Webb earned the fifth-best all-time 1500m program finish at the Portland Distance Carnival on May 16th, 2021, before appearing with Doyle in the quarterfinal round of the race at the NCAA Championships.
• Doyle collected an individual win in his debut in the men's 800m at the local Portland Twilight, landing the fifth-place UP all-time finish in the race.
• Pellicoro posted the fourth-best finish in school history in the women's 1500m at the UO Twilight on May 7, 2021, and the second-best program finish in the 800m at the OSU High Performance Meet back on May 1st.
• Konnor Hathaway also garnered ninth-place all-time in the men's 800m run at the OSU High Performance Meet.
• The Pilots women nabbed three Top-10 all-time finishes at the Oregon Relays in Eugene: Bakker in the 3000m steeplechase (second-place all-time), Maya Murphy-Cook in the 200m dash (second-place all-time), and Anna Pataki in the 5000m run (sixth-place all-time).
• Sprinter Tara Fuiten cracked fifth-place all time with a first-place victory in the women's 400m dash at the Lewis & Clark Invite on April 17th--one of five individual wins for the Pilots' track and field teams on the day.
• Anna Pataki, Stella Gillman and Sofia Castiglioni produced an impressive performance in the women's 10,000m run at Hayward Field on April 2nd, with Pataki notching second-place in program history at 33:11.30, Gillman in seventh-place all-time with a new PR of 34:02.35, and Castiglioni in 10th-place all-time at 34:24.18.
• Bakker picked up an individual win in the women's 5000m run at the UO Hayward Premiere, locking in ninth-place in Portland's all-time records. The Netherlands native also registered 10th-place in program history in her 1500m debut at the NW Distance Jamboree on April 3rd.

LOOKING AHEAD
• The Pilots are set to compete at three meets hosted by Lewis & Clark during the 2022 outdoor season, first on March 19, again on April 16, and finally on May 14.
• Both programs will head south to appear at the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto on April 1.
• The Portland teams also make a few stops at historic Hayward Field later on in the year, locked in for the Hayward Premiere on April 1, the UO Relays on April 21, and the UO Twilight on May 6.
• The Pilots will make their annual appearances at the NW Distance Jamboree in Eugene on April 1, and the Portland Twilight Meet on May 7.
• Also on the schedule for 2022 are the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 13 in Azusa, Calif., and the Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif. on April 14.
• Both squads then compete in Corvallis at the OSU High Performance Meet on April 29.
• NCAA First Round action is marked for May 25-28 in Fayetteville, Ark., with the NCAA Championships locked in for June 8-11 in Eugene.

LAST MEET: MPSF CHAMPIONSHIPS
• The women's 4x400 team of Ella Parker (58.14), Tara Fuiten (57.97), Avery Gill (58.29), and Laura Pellicoro (56.81) cracked a new school indoor record of 3:51.19 in the event, surpassing the previous best of 3:54.14 set back in 2016.
• Parker produced an outstanding individual performance at the meet with two PRs good for Top-10 program finishes: third-place all-time in the women's 200 meter dash (25.78), and fourth-place all-time in the 400m (58.11).
• The Pilots claimed individual wins in the both the men's and women's mile, with Jacob Klemz taking the race in a time of 4:11.20, and Veerle Bakker securing first-place at 4:46.45.
• Matt Strangio and John Kavulich placed second overall in the men's 3000m and 5000m runs, respectively.
