PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Pilots battled, but ultimately fell 1-0 to the No. 23 Santa Clara Broncos in their regular season finale. Portland finishes the regular season at 10-4-3 overall and 4-3-1 in WCC action.
How it Happened
The Pilots were aggressive on the attack, but the Broncos ultimately came out of the first half with the goal. Jordyn Crosby scored in the 44th to make it 1-0 Santa Clara.
After the Broncos took a 1-0 lead into the half, Portland kept Santa Clara off the scoreboard the rest of the way. Bre Norris led Portland with four saves. The Pilots recorded 16 shots in the loss, nine of them on goal, but couldn't find the back of the net. Portland faced eight Santa Clara shots, six of them on goal.

- The Pilots still finish with 10 wins for the third time in Michelle French's six years as head coach.
- The .676 win percentage for the Pilots is the best since 2013.
- Norris recorded four saves for the Pilots out of eight total Broncos shots.
- Portland put nine shots on goal.
