Seattle, Wash. -- Zak Kirk and Courtney Klatt were the only Pilots to compete in Day 1 of the Ken Shannon Last Chance Meet. Both athletes made the most of opportunity, running well in both the 5,000 meter and 3,000 meter, respectively. Kirk ran a massive PR in the 5,000 meter race with a time of 13:49.55 (No. 7 All-Time). This was a personal best by 50 seconds.
Courtney Klatt ran strong in the 3,000 meter race, finishing in 9:33.46, her second fastest mark to date.
The Pilots will return tomorrow for day two of the Ken Shannon Last Chance Meet. The Pilots will be represented in a variety of distances including the 400, 800, mile and 3,000 meter events.
