PORTLAND, Ore. -- The No. 5 Portland Pilots continued their home undefeated streak of 23 matches with a 4-0 win over the CSUN Matadors. Portland improved to 5-1-0 overall after the victory.
How it Happened
Portland broke the 0-0 tie when Jacob Babalai notched his fifth goal of the season in the 30th minute. Babalai intercepted an attempted long pass from CSUN's keeper before rolling it in for the easy goal.
The Pilots tacked on another score on a goal from Babalai -- his sixth goal of the season -- in the 40th minute. Babalai earned the brace off a penalty kick that he drew in the box. It was the first penalty of the season for the forward.
Portland made it a 3-0 lead on Buba Fofanah's 70th-minute goal, his fifth of the season. Kevin Bonilla and Nick Fernandez assisted the goal.
The Pilots kept CSUN off the scoreboard and grabbed a 4-0 lead with a 75th-minute goal from Micaah Garnette, his first goal of the season and as a Pilot. Garnette's score put the match at its final.
