PEEK INTO THE PORT
- The Portland Pilots are 2-1 on the season, most recently earning a win over the Warner Pacific Knights 107-26.
- Portland's dominant victory over the Knights saw them break numerous program records, including the record for most points in a quarter with 44 and most points in a first half with 67.
- Portland's 81-point margin of victory was the highest for the Pilots since the 1990 season, when they beat Warner Pacific by 84 points. Their 26 points allowed were also the fewest since that 1990 contest.
- Florence Dallow's 14 points led the way for Portland. She was one of five Pilots to score at least 10 points on the day, with Julia Dalan (11), Rhyan Mogel (10), Brynn Smith (10) and Aubrey Herrin (10) all doing so.
- Herrin staffed the stat sheet with 10 points and four rebounds, assists and steals along with two blocks on 80% shooting. She is one of four players to at least hit all those marks in a single game this year and the only freshman.
- Smith is the first Pilot freshman to score in double digits in two of her first three games since Alex Fowler in the 2019-20.
- With the strong start, the Pilots rank among the best in the nation in numerous categories.
- Portland is second nationally in field goal percentage (56.7%), fourth in free throw percentage (86.7%), fifth in bench points per game (43.3), eighth in blocks per game (20.7), 10th in steals per game (16.0), 14th in points per game (91.3), 17th in scoring margin (69.7) and 18th in assists per game (20.7). They are first in the WCC in all those categories.
- Dyani Ananiev's 4.3 steals per game leads the WCC currently and ranks seventh nationally. Her 13 total steals are second in the conference and 32nd nationally.

- Rhyan Mogel's assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.25 ranks second in the WCC.
- Portland currently has nine players averaging at least five points or more, led by Florence Dallow's 13.7 points per contest.
- The Pilots had a historic season in 2024-25, finishing 31-5 overall and 17-3 in WCC play to win a share of the 2024-25 WCC Regular Season Title. It's their fourth title, either tournament or regular season, in six seasons.
- Their 31 wins were a program record and their 17 wins in WCC play were also a new high for the program.
- Last year, they made the WCC Championships final for the fourth time under head coach Michael Meek and also qualified for the WBIT for the first time in program history.
- In the WBIT, they beat the Stanford Cardinal and the Seton Hall Pirates on the road to advance to the quarterfinals before falling to Villanova Wildcats in that round. The wins were the first ever road playoff wins for the Pilots, the first win ever over Stanford and the first ever over a Big East squad.

- Ananiev played in just 10 games last season, averaging 7.4 points per contest along with 1.8 steals. She was a 2023-24 All-WCC Freshman Team selection.
- The Pilots return eight players from last year and add seven newcomers.
- Of the eight returners, none started a game last year. Rhyan Mogel and Lainey Spear are the only two players to have played in every game, with Mogel's 20.6 minutes leading all returning players.
- Florence Dallow, Natalie Fraley, Tiffany Barbosa, Ella Zimmerman and Caitlin Monahan also all return.
- Michael Meek is in his seventh season as head coach of the Portland Pilots.
