PORTLAND, Ore. -- Brady Bean collected four hits and added five RBI's to help lead the Portland Pilots past the Utah Tech Trailblazers 10-2 on Sunday. The win gives the Pilots a 2-1 edge in the series.
Kaden Segel (1-1) started on the mound and picked up the win for Portland (5-6). The right-hander went 5.1 innings, giving up two runs, both of them earned, on six hits, allowing one walk and striking out six. Nolan Umlandt also made an impact on the mound for the Pilots, throwing 2.2 shutout innings while allowing just two hits.

How it Happened
The Pilots got on the scoreboard first, starting in the second inning. Zach Toglia came across to score the lone run of the inning for Portland and get them on the board.
After the Trailblazers tied the ballgame at one, the Pilots came back to retake the lead in the fifth inning. Portland scored three runs in the frame, buoyed by a two-RBI double from Scott and an RBI single from Bean, which brought the score to 4-1 in favor of the Pilots.
Utah Tech added a run before the Pilots stretched the advantage to 8-2 in the sixth inning. The Pilots bats heated up in an inning that included a two-run double for Curtis Hebert and a two-run single from Bean.
Portland held the Trailblazers scoreless and added their final two runs in the seventh. The Pilots scored two runs when a single from Bean brought in Henry Muench and Nitowitz, making it 10-2 Portland. That score held the rest of the way.
