LOYOLA SACRED HEART: Played three years for Missoula Mavericks (American Legion), as Montana high schools do not sponsor baseball … hit .381 with 60 RBI to lead team in summer of 2002 … second on the team with a .464 on-base percentage, and 20 extra base hits … helped Mavericks to a pair of fifth-place finishes in Montana American Legion state tournament … was a District 5-B honorable mention basketball player as a senior.
