UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND 2008: Named to the All-WCC Team and to the WCC All-Freshman Team … also landed on the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American Team, as released by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper … only player to start all 54 games … led the team in hits (69), doubles (16), triples (5), total bases (119), slugging percentage (.520) and walks (25)… second on the team with a .301 batting average, eight home runs and 29 RBI’s … had a 15-game hitting streak, during which he hit .446 (29-for-65) … his .333 batting average during conference play led the team … his five triples are tied for the second most in one season ever at UP; his 229 at-bats are the most ever during a single season at UP, while his 119 total bases rank seventh on the single-season charts and his 69 hits are tied for eighth … had seven three-hit games and one four-hit game … hit two homers in a game twice, accomplishing the feat at Santa Clara on April 6 and at San Francisco on April 26 … went 4-for-6 with five RBI’s, two doubles, a home run and four runs during 15-8 win over Hawaii (Mar. 1) … four runs are tied for third most ever in a single game at UP … 3-for-6 with two RBI’s, a double, a home run and three runs during a 12-7 win over Gonzaga on March 12 … during three-game set against 13th-ranked San Diego (Apr. 11-13), went 7-for-12 with four RBI’s three doubles, a homer, three walks and two runs scored.
