UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND 2008: Tied for second on the team with 26 appearances, all out of the bullpen … finished with two saves, a 1-3 record and an ERA of 4.36 … held opposing hitters to a staff-best .260 average … averaged 8.2 strikeouts and 1.9 walks per nine innings for a team-best strikeout-walk ratio of 4.3 … struck out 30 and issued just two walks in 33.0 innings pitched … had a string of eight straight scoreless appearances (Feb. 26 – Mar. 12) … was named to the River City Classic (Mar. 6-8) All-Tournament Team … struck out three during 3.0 scoreless, hitless and walkless innings to pick up first collegiate win (11-10) at UC Davis on Mach 6 … struck out one and didn’t allow a hit, walk or run during 3.0 innings to secure a 3-1 win over Southern Utah (Mar. 19) for first collegiate save.
PORTLAND LUTHERAN HS/FRANKLIN HS: Earned three letters at Portland Lutheran before finishing HS career at Franklin in 2007 … was named to the Oregon All-State Second Team and to the Portland Interscholastic League’s First Team as a senior ... on the mound in 2007, he posted five wins with a 1.43 ERA, while striking out 97 in 54 innings of work … also tossed a no-hitter during senior campaign and struck out 15 in another game … as a junior in 2006, he registered 16 K’s in a single game … offensively in 2007, he led the PIL with a .549 batting average, a .621 on-base percentage and an .824 slugging percentage … he help lead the Quakers to the state playoffs for the first time in six years … earned all-league honors three times while at Portland Lutheran ... played for the metro team in Oregon’s 2007 State vs. Metro All-Star Game … three-year letterwinner in basketball, two-year letterwinner in cross country and earned one letter in soccer.
