Erin Kinney is in her fifth year as the Assistant Track and Field Coach, specializing in Sprints.
Before coming to the Bluff, Kinney graduated from Portland State University with a B.S. in Exercise Science. In her senior season as a Viking, she competed in the High Jump, Hurdles and Pentathlon, and still holds top ten marks in the 55m Hurdles(indoor), 100m hurdles, High Jump(indoor & outdoor), and Pentathlon.
Prior to competing at Portland State, she was a three-sport athlete for Warner Pacific College, competing in Basketball, Volleyball and Track and Field. During that time, she was a part of a national NAIA qualifying basketball team and still holds top ten marks for Volleyball in per match kills, attack attempts, points scored and aces. In Track and Field, Kinney was a three-time NAIA All-American in High Jump, a two- time national qualifier in the 60m Hurdles, and the 100m Hurdles Cascade Collegiate Conference Champion in 2006. She still holds the school records for 60m Hurdles (indoor), 100m Hurdles, and High Jump (indoor and outdoor) as well as top ten times in the 60m(indoor) and 100m at Warner Pacific.
Kinney holds Level 1 USATF and USATFCCA coaching accreditations.
