UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND 2005: Indoor season: Had the Pilots’ fastest mile of the indoor season, posting a time of 4:08.07 at the Husky Classic … held the team’s third quickest time in the 3000-meter run, finishing in 8:13.34 at the UW Last Chance Qualifier.
Outdoor season: Won the steeplechase at the Mount Hood Open in a time of 8:57.61, qualifying for the NCAA West Regionals in the process … earned automatic qualification to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship in the 10,000-meter run after finishing in 28:58.77 at the Cardinal Invitational … won the 5000-meter run at the Division I Independent Track Championships (14:37.87) … placed 12th at the NCAA West Regionals in the steeplechase (8:58.75) … earned All-American honors at the NCAA Outdoors, finishing in 10th place in the 10,000-meter run (29:03.75).
