UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND 2009-10: Earned All-WCC Honorable Mention … appeared in 29 games and made 25 starts … led the WCC in offensive rebounds (3.0 rpg) and ranked third in overall rebounding (8.0 rpg); her .609 field goal percentage during conference play led the WCC … was third on the team in scoring (9.3 ppg) and was tops in rebounds and field goal percentage (.524); FG percentage is No. 10 on UP’s all-time season-highs list, while 233 rebounds also ranks 10th … finished the season No. 2 all-time at UP with a career field goal percentage of .510; that ranks No. 1 for Portland playing at the NCAA DI level … led the team in scoring four times and rebounding 15 times … scored in double figures 14 times, while reaching at least 20 points twice … reached double figures in rebounding 11 times … dropped a career-high 21 points against Eastern Washington on Nov. 14 … recorded her first seven career double-doubles and registered four straight games of double-digit rebounds early the season … was named the WCC Co-Player of the Week after ripping down 17 boards against USF on Jan. 28, becoming the first Pilot to have that many rebounds in a game since 2006 … also had 20 points on 7-for-9 shooting against the Dons … went 9-for-12 from the floor en route to 19 points during win at LMU on Jan. 21 … also had 19 points against Portland State, a home win on Nov. 24.
UNIVERSITY OF PORTLAND 2008-09: Landed on the WCC’s All-Freshman Team … appeared in 28 games and made one start … averaged 3.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game … led the team with a .476 field goal percentage … scored in double figures twice … named the WCC Player of the Week (Feb. 2) after helping lead the Pilots to consecutive road wins at San Diego (Jan. 29) and at Saint Mary’s (Jan. 31) … against the Toreros, she hit all nine shots from the field en route to a career-high 20 points … two days later against the Gaels, she finished with 13 points on 6-for-11 shooting, while grabbing a then career-high eight rebounds.
DESERT VISTA HS: Earned four letters for coach Willie Young … missed becoming the all-time leading scorer at Desert Vista High School by just 25 points ... helped lead the Thunder to three regional championships and three quarterfinal showings at the Arizona state HS tournament in 2005, 2006 and 2007 … advanced to the first round of state as a senior … a 2007-08 preseason McDonald’s All-America nominee, Gannis averaged 18 points and nine rebounds per game during her senior campaign … earned All-Arizona Second Team honors following her senior season …. was named to the All-Region First Team and All-City First Team in 2006, 2007 and 2008 … was the central region’s leading scorer with a 17 points per game average as a junior … averaged a double-double (17 ppg, 10 rpg) as a sophomore … recorded the most double-double’s in school history and owns the record for most career blocked shots.
