NATIONAL TEAM: Was a teammate of Holopainen’s on both the Finland U-16 and U-18 National Teams … the pair helped the U-16 squad rise to the A-Division for the first time in Finnish history … Nurmi helped her teams claim several Nordic Championships, and she scored 22 points against Bulgaria during the B-Division European Championships in 2011 … in 2009, she was named the Best Junior League Shooter (for both girls and boys) by the Finnish National Basketball Association after hitting 48.5 percent of her shots from three-point range.
 
CLUB: has competed at two national championships with her Torpan Pojat U-19 club team, and she debuted in the WU-19 league with a 31-point performance … during her second year in the Women’s League, she ranked fifth overall in assists and had per game averages of 9.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists.
 
PERSONAL: Born on Jan. 5, 1993, in Turku, Finland … daughter of Marina Seligson and Juha Nurmi … plans to major in international business.
