MODESTO HS: CIF XC State Meet (2008 and 2009)... MVP of MHS XC and Track (2009 and 2010)... CIF Masters (2009 and 2010)... XC team captain (2008 and 2009)... Graduated with an International Baccalaureate diploma.
PERSONAL: Born Rachel Van Nes on March 16, 1992 to parents Heather and Peter Van Nes... has three siblings, Michael, Emma, and Sam... major is Biology... chose UP because "I always knew that I wanted to go to school in Oregon and the University of Portland seemed like the perfect place. I loved the environment and close community that I witnessed during my visit and knew without a doubt that this was where I wanted to be."
