Coach Fee came to the University of Portland with previous rowing experience as a student-athlete at the University of Kansas and coaching experience at Rochester Rowing Club in Minnessota. At Kansas, Lauren earned a spot in the First Varsity Eight her senior season in addition to being a three-time Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association National Scholar Athlete, a three-time recipient of Academic All-Big 12 First Team honors, and achieving Big 12 Co-Boat of the Week accolades.
Fee graduated from the University of Kansas in 2020 with her undergraduate degrees in Applied Behavioral Science and Psychology and a Master’s of Science in Education: Sport Management in 2021. Following Fee's graduation, she completed an internship with USATriathlon in their High Performance Department. She completed her United States Rowing Association Level 2 certification in 2022.
Fee is aiming to adopt and instill the Olympic values of excellence, friendship, and respect among her athletes. She is passionate about bringing a holistic training approach to connect with and inspire her athletes in all areas of their lives.
