Justice Magraw joined the Portland staff as an assistant volunteer in June of 2019, after winning the 2018 and 2019 Emerald City League Coach of the Year award for her coaching performance with the Overlake Owls. Her two years at Overlake resulted in the varsity squad winning the Emerald City League Championship each season and qualified for state playoffs each season.
“Justice is well versed in the fundamentals of the game and will make an immediate impact on our passing and defense," said head coach Jeff Baxter about Magraw joining the coaching staff. "She is an awesome coach who is always excited to grow. It is obvious how much Justice cares about the game of volleyball, but even more so how much she cares for the players she works with.”
Before her career as a coach, Magraw had a successful career as a Libero for the University of Washington from 2012-2015, going 117-16 overall as a member of the indoor team and won two Pac-12 Championships. She was the inaugural Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2016 and won the Husky Pride award, voted in by her fellow student-athletes.
While at UW, Magraw studied Communications with a minor in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies. She graduated Cum Laude with a 3.79 GPA and was a 10 time Dean's List honoree.
Magraw is grew up in Redmond, Washington and attended Redmond High School.
