In his two years at ASU, the Mountaineers compiled a 19-42 overall record and received the AVCA Team Academic Award. Prior to Appalachian, Goodwin served as the women’s assistant at Lees-McRae College. During the 2000 season, Lees-McRae went 29-11, earning Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships.
A 1999 graduate of Juniata College with a degree in Intellectual History and French, Goodwin was a three-year starter for the Eagles. The Penfield, N.Y. native helped the Eagles capture the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Division III title in 1998. That same Eagle team went on to win the inaugural Molten Division III National Championship.
