PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland women's basketball assistant coach Drew Muscatell was selected as a WBCA Thirty Under 30 honoree, which is presented by Marriott. The list of honorees is recognized as the up and coming trailblazers in the women's basketball profession.
Â
"Drew is a young coach with as much drive and energy of anyone I know," Portland head coach Cheryl Sorenson said. "He is willing to take on any assignment and it's been great to see him grow over the last 3 years. He has a lot of intangibles on the court but it's the relationships he develops off the court I'm most proud of."
Â
A native of the Pacific Northwest, Muscatell came to The Bluff as an assistant coach during the summer of 2015. He was previously the video coordinator at San Joes State after graduating from the University of Oregon in 2013.
Â
The WBCA will honor Muscatell's accomplishments by recognizing him and the entire group of honorees during this year's WBCA Convention, which is Saturday, March 31 in Columbus, Ohio.
