GREENWOOD, Ind. --- Junior Noah Schutte has been named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic West All-District® Men's Track & Field/Cross Country team. The award, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
 
Schutte was a part of the team that placed second in the nation last fall at the 2017 NCAA XC Championships. His 29^th place finish at the West Regional also helped the Pilots clinch their fifth West Region Title. The Pilot, who was second-team All-American at the 2017 NCAA Track and Field Championships in the steeplechase, also recorded top national times this season in the steeplechase and the 10,000m. Schutte placed 19^th at this year's West Preliminary meet in the 3000m steeplechase.
 
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees to be announced in June.
